Why does the TI-Nspire CX family List and Spreadsheets not sort radical entries as expected?
TI-Nspire CX family does not support exact radical arithmetic on TI-Nspire CX. Please Note: On the the TI-Nspire CX CAS radical entries sort as expected. For example, the below list is sorted in ascending order you will notice that instead of the square root of 4 being listed after 1 it is instead listed at the bottom: 
If you place an equal sign before the square root of 4 list and spreadsheets will evaluate the radical and you can then sort the list and receive the expected result but without the radical sign displayed:
