How do I calculate a numeric derivative using the TI-36X Pro scientific calculator?

To find the numeric derivative of 2x^3 when x=2, using the TI-36X Pro scientific calculator enter the following:

  1. Press [2nd][d/dx] to display the template.
  2. In the first empty box, enter [2] [X] [x^] [3].
  3. Scroll to the right two times to highlight the last box.
  4. Press [2].
  5. Press [enter].
  6. The answer will display 24.
